WOO HOO!!!
The climb up Mt. Katahdin was tough, but fun. There was some real climbing involved, and the view was spectacular.
The journey was much as I expected it to be, though tougher in some ways. At times it seemed like it would never end. I enjoyed it immensely, but I'm happy to be heading home.
Huge thank-you to all of the friends and family who helped make this endeavor into a reality. I really appreciate all the help.
No plans for another big adventure at the moment, but stay tuned.
Congratulations on an accomplishment that the rest of us can only dream of. I am looking forward to catching up... we are heading to ATL to move Robert into Ga Tech on 8/18.. hope you can meet that weekend before heading back to Orlando. Great job - proud of you!

ReplyDeleteWell done sir! Congratulations. I'll do it too just as soon as they pave the AT, including rest areas, restaurants and hotels. May I for your next adventure suggest hitch hiking back to Atlanta. You can then write about that, comparing and contrasting the AT hikers with the lunatics on our interstate highways. Just a thought.
